Fishing in Kruger

It's sad to see that another pillar of the Kruger National Park has crumbled in the bid for commercialism. Unfortunately a national treasure is selling its soul (Sole) to the root of all evil...money. I am 29 years old and have been visiting the Kruger for 29 years. It is saddening that I know explore alternative options to the Kruger for my holidays into the bush. The once magnificent and pristine Kruger is now no more than a supersized safari park. Guests do as they please and the management of Kruger tries to eke out ever cent they can from any visitor to the Kruger. To me it seems pretty senseless to have a fishing competition in the Kruger when we have 100 of thousands of dams elsewhere where the fundraiser could take place, for me this is all about relativity. You wouldn't have a topless carwash to raise money for women's rights now would you? Not the smartest move by SANparks but from my experiences in the last couple of years this is what I've come to expect.

It's often mentioned that speeding in the park is a major problem but I have to say that in my personal experience it usually the park rangers, tour guides and delivery vehicles that are at fault. Compounding the problem is the fact that these vehicles are setting the example which visitors seems to be following.
